The Ambassador Team
Meet Our Ambassadors

Hemanshi
Hi everyone! My name is Hemanshi (she/her) and I'm a second-year student in the PNB Mental Health specialization. I'm super excited to be an ambassador this year and I can't wait to help plan and organize events for all PNB students! I really enjoy biking, and baking (especially chewy chocolate chip cookies), and you can always find me watching The Office (of course, Michael and Dwight are my favourite). One thing I love about the PNB program is how close everyone is, which allows me to meet like-minded individuals who are also passionate about psychology and neuroscience. I truly feel so grateful for how amazing everyone is, and how we are all motivated to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health by becoming more educated in the field. I'm also so glad that I finally get to learn about what contributes to everyone's sense of individuality: although we all have a very similar genetic makeup, how does the interaction between our experiences make us unique? One thing I look forward to for this year is meeting a variety of PNB students through all the fun events planned for this year! Not only this, but I can't wait to work with our amazing team of ambassadors. If you ever see me on campus, feel free to say hi, since I love meeting and talking to new people (especially about brain memes and puns)!

Maya
Hey!! My name is Maya (She/Her) and I'm in my 2nd year of PNB mental health! I'm so excited to be part of the ambassador team. I chose PNB in order to further learn about the mechanisms that drive human development and behaviour, and I hope to one day work in the mental health field. I also love being part of the tight-knit and welcoming PNB community! This year, I'm looking forward to meeting more of my peers, and taking in all the amazing opportunities that this program has to offer. In my free time, I love listening to music, hanging out with friends, and baking. If you have any questions or just want someone to talk to, I'd love to chat!
