The Ambassador Team
Meet Our Ambassadors

Emma (she/her)
Hi! My name is Emma (she/her) and I am super excited to be joining the ambassador team! I am currently in my second year of PNB specializing in Mental Health. I chose PNB because I love learning about what drives human behavior and I am hoping to work in the Mental Health field in the future! A little bit about me: I often spend my free time going on adventures with friends whether it be exploring a new place or trying new foods. I also love creating art, watching movies/tv shows and listening to music. This year I am most looking forward to meeting new people and connecting students in PNB. I've had an amazing experience in PNB so far and I am excited to see everything this year has to offer!

Esha (she/her)
Hey everyone!! My name is Esha, my pronouns are She/Her and I am a 2nd year PNB student! I am absolutely thrilled to be one of your ambassadors this year!! One thing I love about the PNB program is how integrative it is academically, as well as on an intrapersonal level. I have a deep interest for learning about human psychology and how the brain works, and more so wanting to learn what makes me me from a scientific perspective. I can really appreciate how this program not only allows me to connect with my profs and peers, but also with myself to some extent. More about me, I love to learn and read. I also love baking, hiking, and painting. I spend a lot of my time with myself and my little brother. I can also appreciate a good meme once in a while!! This year, I look forward to making new friends and hopefully being on campus in the winter term. I look forward to being an Ambassador for this program and take on this leadership role. I am enthusiastic about what I can offer to the PNB family as well as what this role and this family can offer me. PS: I am super extroverted and would love to chat so feel free to hit me up anytime!

Kal (he/him)
Hey everyone, my name is Kal, and I am in my 3rd year PNB Honours. My pronouns are he/him. I always knew that I wanted to get into PNB Honours because of the mix between psychology and science. Learning about two different specializations within one program helped me build a strong base to develop my academic knowledge/skills. For example, the courses provide students with various skills, such as learning about the neuroscience of the brain and how to write academic papers scientifically. Incorporating scientific research within our program helped me understand how my community works and guide my future aspirations. I currently want to be a clinical psychologist, and PNB has helped me remain on a steady path to achieve my dreams. A random fact about me is that I was born in San Francisco, California, and lived there for a couple of years before moving to Ontario! The PNB community is very friendly and nice, and I have made some of my closest friends through online interactions during my second year. Thus, this year I want to help second-year PNB students get to know each other and make life-long friends through fun social events.

Alexa (she/her)
Hey everyone! I'm Alexa (she/her) and I'm a Level II PNB student. If I'm not studying for neuro, I'm either reading, watching a movie/tv show, solving a puzzle, or swimming (i used to swim competitively). I love the PNB program because I find that everyone I meet is kind and welcoming and wants to help each other to create a tight-knit community. I am looking forward to finally meeting my classmates in person this winter and to meeting other PNB students at future events!

Rebecca (she/her)
My name is Rebecca (she/her) and I am in Level II Arts and Science Honours combined with PNB! I enjoy reading, journaling, and doing art in my free time, and I love meeting new people. I really like PNB because the brain has always fascinated me and I think it is interesting to learn about how each individual sees the world and why. This year, I look forward to meeting new people in the PNB community in person and online through fun events and socials! If you ever have questions or just want someone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me!

Connor (he/him)
Hey everyone! My name is Connor (he/him) and I am one of the PNB ambassadors for the 2021/2022 school year! I am in my third year of general PNB, and am so grateful to be part of this amazing community. One of my favourite things about the program is the research opportunities it brings, as I am currently working in two labs. A little bit about me: I am an army reservist, so naturally I love the outdoors and working out! I am also a huge classic rock fan, so if you ever want to jam out, let me know. As we slowly transition to in person again, I truly cannot wait to get back to meeting new people. I love helping people out and giving advice, especially on how the program works and how to apply to research positions, so please reach out! See you guys at the future PNB events!
